Admired for creativity rather than longevity—the Great Chicago Fire in 1871 destroyed a majority of notable buildings—each tour, no matter the means, showcases the character, ingenuity, and groundbreaking methods that make up Chicago’s towering skyline.

Confirming what many art aficionados and museum-goers already knew, TripAdvisor just gave the Art Institute of Chicago the number one spot in its Travelers’ Choice Awards, ranking it not just the top museum in Chicago, but the top museum in the world for 2016.

Each year, Lollapalooza's acts reliably include a diverse range of musicians that span the gamut from fresh-on-the-scene to straight-up legendary. One of the longest-running musical festivals today, it's made its home in Chicago, where there are plenty of great things to do leading up to the show and to continue the good vibes after the final chords fade.
