Advice for Visitors

Tips

Best Time to Visit

Between 11am and 2pm.

Dress casually and wear comfortable walking or athletic shoes with non-skid soles. Avoid high-heels, open-toe shoes, and any article of clothing that might compromise safety.

Strollers are prohibited. Front chest carriers are required for infants and toddlers who would otherwise have to be held or in a stroller. You will also be prohibited from carrying the child in your arms at all on board due to safety concerns.

Backpacks are prohibited. Please place any necessary items in small crossbody bags or purses that are less likely to get snagged when walking through tight spaces and up ladders.

To get the full experience, allow about one-and-a-half hours for your visit. If you're short on time, don't miss the Main Deck Tour, which is approximately 30 minutes.

The Self-Guided Access routes are physical and require climbing and descending steep steps (called ladders by the Navy). You will also be stepping over high step openings along the tour.

Philadelphia CityPASS
Great deal and great places to see!
CityPASS is a very convenient cost effective way to see some of the great sites of the great city of Philadelphia!!
Money saver and a good guidance on fun places
I view CityPASS as a good source to find out fun places at destination city. Philadelphia CityPASS definitely helped me with that.
Amazing Experience
I found out about the CityPASS on my 1st day in Philly and I’m so glad I did because I did not have anything planned. It was inexpensive and perfect. Loved everything about it. I was able to visit 3 attractions without any hassle. I can’t wait to use this again when I travel with my kids.
This is the way to go!
We are new to the Philadelphia area and we were anxious to get out and explore some of the sites with our three kids. We came across the CityPASS and decided to take our last two weeks of summer and dedicate it to exploring. This was truly the way to do it! We used every pass and got our money's worth.
Great Purchase
I bought the city pass during my recent trip to Philly and it made getting into several sights that required timed tickets so easy. It was definitely a great purchase and well worth the price!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can’t turn off useless notifications! Never, ever will I use CityPASS again. The “attraction nearby” keeps popping up, even when I’m standing in the attraction. I can’t even take a second photo without this stupid notice popping up again and again. I keep turning notifications off on the ticket in the wallet. Not even one second later, it turns itself back on. I hate this system!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So easy, affordable and only one grievance.. CityPASS Philadelphia was affordable and it was a great price for 3 different things! My ONLY problem was with using it with Adventure Aquarium. When visiting, it requires a reservation. When using cityPASS, you can only call to make a reservation. We wanted to go first thing in the morning around 10am, I called right when they opened at 9am but the soonest available time slot was 230pm. It completely changed our plans but we still made it out. Thankfully we used our cityPASS that same day and visited the Franklin Institute before the aquarium. We are glad that they even had an opening on the day we wanted to visit anf it all worked out. Hoping to see an option where you can reserve you time slot right on the app for Adventure Aquarium when using cityPASS. That was my only grievance! It is so easy using it to get into everything and we loved that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a trip to Philadelphia When I went to Philadelphia when the Guardians were playing the Phillies, I got a CityPASS, and it was very helpful to plan my trip. The one difficulty was narrowing things down! I ended up going with Adventure Aquarium, Constitution Center, Drexel Academy of Natural Sciences, Franklin Institute, and the Philadelphia Zoo - a mixture of history, arts, and sciences. I especially enjoyed the hippos at the aquarium, the US history at the constitution center (and its closeness to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall!), and the Disney 100th anniversary exhibit at the Franklin Institute. I definitely want to come back in the future and do the things I didn't do last time. I was disappointed the Philadelphia Museum of Art wasn't included, though.
