Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) collection features more than 120,000 works, ranging from cutting-edge contemporary art, such as Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room — Let’s Survive Forever to European masterpieces, including Peter Paul Rubens’ The Massacre of the Innocents. Works by established and emerging Indigenous Canadian artists shine alongside the extensive Group of Seven collection. The photography holdings trace the evolution and impact of the medium with significant works by artists such as Garry Winogrand and Diane Arbus. Focused collections of Gothic boxwood miniatures and Western and Central African art further enrich the AGO’s multifaceted galleries.

Tips

Spend a few hours to a full day exploring the extensive collections. Short on time? Don’t miss the McLean Centre for Indigenous + Canadian Art.

Weekday mornings are typically the least crowded.

Handheld maps are available free of charge and can be picked up at the welcome desk on arrival. You can also download a digital map.

Bags and backpacks larger than 18x16x6 inches must be left at the coat check; fees apply.

Small children and strollers are welcomed; pull-behind wagons and buggies are not permitted in the galleries.

Great Toronto attractions
Something for everyone: arts, sciences, history, entertainment, and for every age group. You can be confident in seeing something unique, worthwhile, and proper to the city itself.
Must have
CityPASS is just something you need when you come for the first time to the city. Admissions are must see, and if you save money even better.

I found a CityPASS for Toronto and bought it. After that the whole trip fell into our laps! There is so much to do in Toronto that we were in over our heads before this! The CityPASS has so much to offer for every kind of person!
Great deal! A must try for all
Great price for amazing attractions. Have used it every time friends and family visit from outside the country. Love it!
Worth it for those travelling on a budget
I don't usually buy passes like this because usually you're paying for things you don't really want to do. And as a backpacker every dollar counts! However, I had planned on visiting the Toronto Zoo, the CN Tower and The Royal Ontario Museum and those three alone would have been worth more than the cost of the CityPASS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for all the major tourist sites This is the second city I've bought CityPASS for and was mostly satisfied. The first was Chicago, this time was Toronto. Because I'd been to the city before I was disappointed there weren't more options for attractions as I'd done a few before (such as the CN Tower, which is a non-option with CityPASS), but I must admit even without using that one of 5 attractions the total of the ticket still came out cheaper than if I'd done the other four at full price, so it was still worth getting. Casa Loma was a jewel, the ROM and AGO were amazing, and I quite enjoyed the aquarium. This is still a great value for tourists to Toronto and I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time in Toronto We were in Toronto to see the Tampa Bay Lightning play the Maple Leafs. We had a rental car so we drove to Casa Loma. Loved touring the beautiful mansion. We stayed a block from the Ripley's Aquarium and CN tower. The aquarium was nice. We did not think we would be going up in the CN Tower due to lots of rain and fog but it cleared up enough on day 2 for us to enjoy a view. Went to the Royal Ontario Museum also and enjoyed that as well. The CIty Pass definitely saved us on the admission costs had we done them all separately.
