Advice for Visitors

Tips

Planetarium and daytime laser shows require reservations, which you can make onsite at the entrance gates or at the Information Desk near the Live Science Stage. Availability is limited and the free tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis, so secure yours as soon as possible upon arrival. Please note: The planetarium shows are popular and may sell out, particularly during the busy holiday season.

Pacific Science Center allows guests to re-enter during their visit. Simply show your ticket or hand-stamp to a cashier for re-entry.

Pacific Science Center does not currently operate an onsite cafe. Food options are available at the theater concessions stands as well as in the Seattle Center Armory, approximately 350 feet from PacSci's entrance.

To get the full experience, allow about 2-3 hours for your visit. If you're short on time, don't miss The Tropical Butterfly House.

Seattle CityPASS
Excellent Value and Selection
We highly recommend getting the Seattle CityPASS. We were really overwhelmed with all of the activities when we started planning our trip through Seattle; there is so much to do. It gave us a really well rounded tour of the highlights of Seattle.
The Way to Go
For your money's worth, the CityPASS Seattle is the best way to go. Not only did it include the best attractions in Seattle for the adults, it was perfect for the children, too.
We Rocked Seattle
Our family of four had great fun touring Seattle's best sites! Despite being locals, we don't often get the time to see all the fun family destinations that Seattle has to offer. These passes paid for themselves within the first two locations compared to regular entry fees.
CityPass Seattle
This was one of the coolest things we have ever purchased while traveling and I would recommend it to anyone! We saw all of Seattle, with two little kids, and we did it for half the price.
A no-brainer if you visit Space Needle and more...
Two trips to Space Needle alone is almost the price of the Seattle CityPASS. If you do anything nearby like Chihuly and MoPOP, you're already ahead.
Seattle CityPASS is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10431.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Double check closing times!! I used citypass for their multi activities bundle to pay for it all in one place. Citypass told me how long most people like to stay at each place, but didn't disclose when they close. To fit all activities in, we had to do 3 things each of our 2 days. With scheduling, we picked times based on the length of how long we should stay at each place and still get everything done. I clicked on the time in the choices that would let us see everything and it never alerted me to closing times or anything. The aquarium closed 1 hour after we go there even though it recommended 3 hours. The glass garden closed 1.5 hours after we got there but it was supposed to take 2+. The space Needle closed 1.5 hours earlier than when our time frame said. It was very frustrating and disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for planners I purchased a CityPASS for a friend visiting from Japan, expecting good savings and convenience. While it includes popular attractions, you can only choose 5 out of 7, which felt a bit limiting. Also, many spots require advance reservations, and sticking to fixed time slots made our trip feel more rushed than relaxed. Good for planners, but less ideal if you prefer flexibility.
