Seattle City Pass

posted by DC on Feb-02-2012

A friend of mine was visiting from out of state. We purchased the pass based on another friend's suggestion. We had a blast visiting all but one of the places!! I can still use the one ticket later so I can say that I used the entire coupon book. Fantastic timing for my friend to see the space needle, take the argosy boat tour and visit the aquarium among the other places listed in the book. Everyone we presented the tickets to was great. We jumpted to the front of the lines! I felt like a VIP! Also a great way for me to see the Seattle sites since I have not had the chance to do so until now. Would most certainly recommend the city pass to visitors and residents!

Great experience!

posted by Rodrigo on Feb-01-2012

My brother and I spent four days in Seattle. We didn't have a set plan of what to do and saw signs for the City Pass. So glad we got it! Almost had time to take advantage of all the passes in the book and it was a steal at the price. My only regret is that we weren't there longer.

Seeing Seattle on a Budget

posted by Grant on Jan-23-2012

Discovering Citipass was fantastic!!! My "little brother" and I decided that a weekend trip to Seattle would be our goal after a series of tasks (goal setting, etc) and I agreed before I had any idea about cost or anything. Well when it was time to start planning I realized that I might have bitten off more than I could chew financially. When i discovered that I could have 6 Seattle attractions at my fingertips, not fuss, no muss, no fine print, I bought one for each of us and we took off to Seattle. Many of the attractions are in close proximity making it VERY FEASIBLE to jam pack our weekend with each attraction! We both enjoyed the Seattle attractions for a gross total of $100. It was a great trip and I am so very thankful for citypass for helping to make it all possible. I would recommend citypass (in fact I already have) to anyone looking to get great bang for their buck. Thanks Citypass!

FAQs

Find answers to questions most frequently asked about Seattle CityPASS below. Click on the questions to show or hide answers.

  1. How do I know if Seattle CityPASS is a good deal for me?

You'd get your money's worth even if you only visited three attractions. We invite you to see for yourself. Price Details displays CityPASS prices right next to full attraction admission prices and the extras you get with CityPASS. You can tell at a glance if the price and value are right for you — even if you don't visit every attraction.

  2. When does the 9 day validity period begin?

If you purchase today, you may begin using your booklet any day from now until February 28, 2013. Exchange e‑tickets for your CityPASS booklet within 6 months from date-of-purchase.

Seattle CityPASS tickets are valid for one-time use within nine consecutive calendar days. The first attraction you visit stamps or scans your booklet to activate the booklet's nine-day validity period. For example, if you visit the Space Needle on Monday, you have the rest of that day, plus the following eight days to use the other five tickets in your booklet.

CityPASS Winter Special scratches “valid 9 days” to extend the period a Seattle booklet can be used. Start using your booklet on or after December 15, 2011 and you’ll have until February 29, 2012 to enjoy each ticket in your booklet once. For travel starting February 21, 2011 or later, the normal 9-day validity period will apply.

  3. Are there ever any blackout dates for using CityPASS?

No, there are no black-out dates associated with using CityPASS. You're welcome use your CityPASS anytime within regular attraction operating hours. Please note that some attractions may periodically close all or a portion of their attraction for private events or due to weather conditions. We recommend contacting the attractions directly to verify availability during your travel dates.

  4. What is an option ticket?

Seattle CityPASS includes one option ticket that gives you the choice to visit either Woodland Park Zoo OR The Museum of Flight. No need to decide between them now – choose when you get there.

Don't miss this - your booklet contains a coupon for a special CityPASS savings to use at the attraction you don't visit using your option ticket.

  5. What do I do if my child is younger than the CityPASS child ticket price range?

Seattle child booklets are priced for ages 4-12. Children under age 4 may be eligible for free or discounted admission at some attractions, however, you are often required to stand in line with them to secure a free child’s ticket. You may save money, but you will spend time in ticket lines.

See Price Details to decide whether CityPASS is a good choice for your child. Your family’s vacation experience may be improved by zipping past main ticket lines to the CityPASS entrance — even if it costs you a few extra dollars.

  6. What is an e‑ticket and how do I use it?

An e‑ticket (electronic ticket) is a one-page paper voucher that you print at the time of purchase or later by accessing the e‑ticket attached to your e-mailed order receipt. All e-tickets must be printed; attractions will not accept an on-screen view of your e-ticket, using your mobile device. (At check out, you also have the option to have actual booklets shipped to you by UPS.)

Once printed, you take the pre-paid e‑ticket to the first attraction you plan to visit and exchange it for a CityPASS booklet which contains entrance tickets to all the attractions. Exchange locations at each attraction are printed on the e‑ticket. Keep in mind that you may encounter a ticket line when exchanging your e‑ticket.

  7. Do I skip every line with Seattle CityPASS?

The Skip the Lines tab tells you how to enter each attraction with a CityPASS booklet in hand and with an e-ticket to — if possible — avoid the main ticket line. We've also printed brief instructions on each ticket in your booklet to remind you where to go. Also, each attraction displays signs indicating where CityPASS ticket holders go to present their ticket booklets to avoid most entrance ticket lines. Keep in mind that these are the most-popular attractions in Seattle and there may be lines in summer, on weekends and holidays.

  8. How do I know when attractions open/close and where I should start?

Planning is easier when you see all the attractions' locations and hours in one place. Click on Attraction Details to find the Location & Hours tab and more attraction information tabs designed to help you plan your trip.

  9. How do I buy a CityPASS if I live outside the U.S., Canada or U.K.?

International buyers will find the print-at-home e‑ticket purchase their most efficient solution. If you prefer to wait until arrival, you will find booklets available for the same low price at every participating CityPASS attraction.

  10. Is it safe to buy a CityPASS from private sellers on Ebay, Craig's List or other similar entities?
