Enjoy 14 walkable acres in the heart of Houston’s Museum District, encompassing gardens, reflecting pools, and three main gallery buildings: the Audrey Jones Beck Building, the Caroline Wiess Law Building, and the Nancy and Rich Kinder Building.

The Beck Building features changing exhibitions as well as the Museum’s collections of ancient art, European art from the Renaissance to Post-Impressionism, and American art to the mid-20th century.

The Law Building features major exhibitions and immersive installations, the Museum’s Islamic and Judaica galleries, plus collections of Asian, African, Native American, Pacific Islands and Australian, and Pre-Columbian art. The Law Building is also the site of Brown Auditorium Theater.

Best Time to Visit
Wednesdays and Fridays are often less crowded than weekends, and less crowded than Thursdays, when the Museum offers free MFAH Permanent Collections admission.
Your admission includes one-day access to all three gallery buildings on the 14-acre Museum campus during regular hours of operation.
To get the full experience, allow about two to three hours for your visit. If you're short on time, don't miss the current Special Exhibitions, the Cullen Sculpture Garden, and the three underground tunnels connecting the buildings together.
Thursdays admission to the MFAH Permanent Collections is free for everyone, courtesy of Shell USA, Inc. Special Exhibitions require a separate, discounted ALL ACCESS ticket on Thursday. (Please note that a CityPass admission on Thursday includes the ALL ACCESS ticket.)
