INSIDER TIPS:It's best to visit the Houston Zoo early when parking is still abundant and the animals are most active. Gates open at 9 a.m. daily.

Exit train and follow Hermann Park Trail around the lake to the Zoo front entry plaza. METROBus: Take #1 Hospital Bus to Fannin/Main Street exit. Follow Hermann Park Trail around the lake to the Zoo front entry plaza.
