Advice for Visitors

Tips

With so much to see and do, plan on at least three or four hours onboard to get the most out of your visit.

Exploring the USS Midway can involve a lot of walking and navigating ladders. Closed-toed shoes and layered clothing are recommended as temperatures vary around the ship. Heels and skirts are not recommended.

Kids love the museum's Junior Pilot Program! Follow Airman Sam Rodriguez as he takes you and the youngsters on an amazing and entertaining audio tour to more than 30 locations throughout the aircraft carrier. Once the kids complete Sam’s tasks, they will be treated to a ceremony performed by one of Midway’s volunteer Docents, where they will earn their Junior Pilot Wings!

All visitors are subject to a bag check before coming aboard the Midway. Prohibited items include but are not limited to: outside food/beverage, glass containers of any kind, pets, bicycles, skateboard/scooters, weapons of any kind.

Easy to Use
Took my kids to San Diego and got the City pass. Super easy to use the tickets on the phone. They scan them and you're in to the park; no trying to keep up with the tickets anymore. The CityPASS will save you money and time. I'll use it again when I go back next time.

Best family vacation we've ever had!
We bought a city pass for our recent trip to San Diego and it was the best decision. We bought the Legoland plus 3 and we used it fully. We chose the Zoo, Aquarium and the Midway Museum. The pass was so easy to use and we had no issues anywhere. We were able to enjoy so many attractions and we saved a lot compared to the regular prices and we were able to buy the city pass in our home currency which was also really nice. Will definitely buy a city pass again in the future.

We chose the options for LEGOLAND, the San Diego Zoo, the hop-on hop-off trolley, and the USS Midway tour, and every single one was worth it. Not only did it save us a significant amount of money compared to buying individual tickets, but it also made the entire trip so much easier to plan. The app was incredibly user-friendly and made accessing each attraction simple and stress-free—no hassle at the entrances at all. Each experience was unique and memorable, and having everything bundled together allowed us to enjoy more without worrying about extra costs or logistics.
