Along the way, discover its connection to the Battle of the Alamo, when General Santa Anna positioned his cannon line nearby.

Tips

The San Antonio River Walk is 15 miles long and flows through about 5 miles of downtown San Antonio. You can use the Shops at Rivercenter located on the River Walk as your GPS guide: 849 E. Commerce Street, San Antonio, TX 78205.

Arrive 30 minutes prior to cruise departure to allow time to park and walk to the pickup location.

Wear sunblock, sunglasses and a hat.

Guided cruises with narration in Spanish are available Thursday through Sunday from June through October, departing from the river level at the GO RIO Historia ticket office at 706 River Walk.

Please note that Go Rio San Antonio River Cruises is cashless; all purchases require a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment option.

Dining / Shopping: Visit the Go Rio bar and retail location near the Rivercenter ticket booth to purchase frozen margaritas, piña coladas, beer, sodas or water to sip on during your cruise. You can also stock up on souvenirs or necessities like sunblock.
