    Learn about ongoing efforts by scientists during the included Excavator Tour, a 45-minute guided walk that chronicles the history of the Tar Pits and the scientific discoveries currently taking place here.

Parking/Transportation

Onsite parking costs $20 (payable by credit card only). If you park on the street, read all parking signs carefully as restrictions apply. Do not park along Wilshire Boulevard between the hours of 7-9am and 4-7pm Monday-Friday, or your car will be ticketed and towed, even from a meter. Get directions and more information on parking and transportation.
