Don't Miss the Great Barrier Reef inside the newly refurbished Australasia Pavilion!
Harlequin Tuskfish, photo by Ken Ardill A new underwater wonderland teeming with a dazzling and colorful variety of marine life awaits visitors to the Toronto Zoo. The much anticipated Great Barrier Reef Exhibit inside of the newly refurbished Australasia Pavilion is now open to the public. It's free with your CityPass ticket! The centerpiece of this exhibit is the Great Barrier Reef Community Tank. Over 23 feet in length (7m) and 32,000 liters, it offers over 1,000 reef fish such as Bamboo Shark, Parrot and Angel Fish - all set within a vibrant coral reef display. It will literally surround you and your family with clouds of hypnotically colorful reef fish moving through crystal clear waters, creating a perfect environment using the latest technologies. Interpretive signage will support this new, exciting area and offer visitors a chance to learn how important the Great Barrier Reef and its inhabitants are to the diversity of life. Also new to the Zoo will be a Moon Jelly Fish, Australian Sea Horse and live Coral Reef Exhibits.

These animals moved into their 1,300 square foot newly expanded exhibits plus new outdoor viewing area! Also returning will be Doni and Loka, the Zoo's Komodo Dragon couple, Chrissie the Tree Kangaroo as well as the Kookaburra, Black Tree Monitor and Green Tree Python.
