Tinseltown’s Must-see Mansions
So, who made the A-list in 2010? We’re not talking best-dressed personalities … or movie stars with the biggest paychecks … or even actors with the most Oscars and Emmys. Nope, we’re talking must-see celebrity mansions. And no one knows that list better than Starline Tours, whose über-famous Movie Stars’ Homes Tour has been going gangbusters since the early days of black-and-white film.
Starline Tours has been giving starstruck visitors a behind-the-scenes peek into the glamorous lives of Hollywood’s elite for more than 75 years. Annually, the company releases its list of most requested movie star homes. Among those that made the list in 2010 are the rental house where the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, spent his final days; the luxurious abodes of Hollywood heavy hitters Jennifer Aniston and Tom Cruise; the former residence of comedienne Lucille Ball; and, new to the list in 2010, the swanky digs occupied by international style icons David and Victoria Beckham.
Starting with the most popular, Starline’s 2010 list of most requested homes includes:
- Michael Jackson
- Simon Cowell
- Jennifer Aniston
- Tom Cruise
- Christina Aguilera
- Dr. Phil’s former home (he recently moved)
- Larry King
- Lucille Ball
- Elvis Presley
- David and Victoria Beckham
Starline’s Movie Stars’ Homes Tour operates daily, departing every half hour (9:30 a.m.-sundown) from Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The tour includes more than 40 homes, the Walk of Fame, the iconic Hollywood sign, and the ultra-posh boutiques (think Julia Roberts’ shopping excursion in Pretty Woman) along Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive.
