Boston CityPASS ReviewsDiscovering BostonBy: Frank Wormald – Halifax, Nova Scotia CanadaDate: March 31, 2009
My wife and I drove to Boston from Halifax at the end of March 2009. This was our first trip to Boston. While she attended a 3 day workshop at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Logan airport, I was free to explore your historically rich city. I purchased a 1 week subway pass for $15 which allowed unimited access to Boston. One of my first stops on the "T" line was the Boston Aquarium where I was introduced to the CityPass. I figured I could cover all 6 venues in 3 days (2 per day) and at $44, I was saving over $40 to see all six venues. I appreciated the fact that each venue ticket had the description of what "T" line train to take that would get you near that venue. I discovered that it could easily have taken me twice as long to fully appreciate all six venues. The Boston Museum of Fine Art and the Science Museum deserve at least two days each in my opinion. For someone who knew almost nothing about metro Boston before I arrived, after using my CityPass I came away with the certainty that I will return. I will be confident knowing what is available and where I will target my time. Thank you for the opportunity. It was a pleasure. |
