Thanks in advance, Rose Re: to stay downtown or ourskirts of Toronto? 4:19pm by Kyle Cole on August 29th, 2012 I recently took my two sons (8 & 5) to Toronto. We did stay downtown and had a wonderful time. Stay close to the Eaton Center (Eaton Center Marriot) and you will have easy access to the subway as well as bus and street car lines. Make sure to take advantage of the Day passes (weekends only) for public transportation. Traveling to the zoo will take a while if you plan to take the subway and bus. Plan on a hour each way. Staying by the Eaton Center will also give you a wide verity of places to dine and shop. Enjoy your trip! If you go downtown...take the ferry to Center Island..there a cute amusment park there and a beach... Re: to stay downtown or ourskirts of Toronto? 10:43pm by hieronymous on February 14th, 2013 I would definitely stay downtown. The last time I stayed the night we stayed at the Novotel. It is very handy to many things. It's close to the theatres as well if you want to take your daughter to a matinee.
