Statue of Liberty National Monument

- The exterior structure of the Statue is made of copper and the interior support structure is made of steel.

Ellis Island
- The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is an important and iconic part of America’s history.
- Over 12 million passed through the island while it was in operation.
- Today, more than 40% of Americans have an ancestor who entered the country through Ellis Island.
Choose your departure location
- You may depart from and return to different locations.
- Once you return to either Battery Park or Liberty State Park, you may not re-board the ferry.
- Be sure to use the appropriate boarding location at each island.
Liberty State Park
- Liberty State Park is an expansive green space located on the shores of the Hudson River.
- It has breathtaking views of the New York Harbor and is an important place for wildlife in this urban environment for the surrounding area.
Battery Park
- Battery Park holds much significance in the history of New York City.
- What started as a fortress to guard early settlers has evolved into the largest open space in Downtown Manhattan.
- The Statue Cruises ticket booth at Battery Park is located inside Castle Clinton National Monument, originally a fort built for defense in the War of 1812.
Ferry
- Dress for the season when you visit.
- Be sure to dress in layers in case conditions change suddenly.
- Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking a great deal during your visit.

How to enter using your CityPASS ticket:
Present New York CityPASS ticket at the "Reserve Line," to bypass the main line and proceed directly to security screening. You'll be in line to board the next available ferry. Redeem CityPASS e-tickets at the "Prepaid" ticket window, then proceed to the Reserve Line.
The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are protected national treasures. It is necessary to clear a security checkpoint – with airport-level security – prior to boarding the boat.
Advice for Visitors
- Allow at least 2 hours to visit one island and 5 hours to visit both islands. Expect to pass though airport level security prior to boarding the ferry. For more information, visit Statue Cruises' website.
- Current wait time is generally about 30 minutes to enter the screening facility at Battery Park, New York. And 15 minutes at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Wait times are less during Autumn and Winter months.
- Guests who choose to depart after 2:00 pm will only be able to visit either Liberty Island or Ellis Island. Unfortunately, there will not be enough time to visit both landmarks.
- Crown tickets include the ferry ride. If you purchase a Crown ticket direct from Statue Cruises, use your CityPASS option ticket for a 2-Hour Circle Line cruise.
Upgrades for CityPASS Holders
- Crown tickets are available by advance reservation to 30 people per hour. Crown tickets are not included with CityPASS and often sell out months in advance. Tickets may be requested up to one year in advance of your scheduled visit. Crown reservations may be made at statuecruises.com or by phone at (877) LADY-TIX (877-523-9849). If you're able to buy a Crown/ferry Ticket for your travel date, direct from Statue Cruises, you may use your CityPASS option ticket for a 2-hour Circle Line cruise. - A Pedestal/Museum Access Pass – which is required to enter the Statue of Liberty pedestal – is not included in CityPASS admission. Pedestal/Museum Access is free and available at all Statue Cruises’ ticket windows, including the prepaid ticket window, on a first come-first served basis, to a limited number of early birds each day.
