The Health Museum
The John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science, also known as The Health Museum, is Houston's most interactive science learning center and a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center.
Located in the heart of the city's rich and varied Museum District, The Health Museum encourages growing interest and regard for healthier lifestyles, fitness and good physical, mental and spiritual health.

Using the latest multi-media and special effects technology, take a journey to explore your physical, mental and future selves. Interactive stations include:
- Body Scanner: See your internal organs in real time through the use of modern special effects technology.
- Age-O-Matic: Through the use of sophisticated computer imaging, age yourself right before your eyes and see how you will look in 30 years’ time. Then, find out what you will look like in the future if you smoke or overeat.
- Feature Change: Have you ever wondered what you would look like as a different gender or ethnicity? Use this machine to find out!
Amazing Body Pavilion
Take a larger-than-life walking tour of the human body and find out how all of your organs work together to keep you healthy.
Ride a bicycle with a skeleton, sit on giant teeth, see how all the joints in your body work and more!
Planet You 4D McGovern Theatre
Included with CityPASS. No reservations required. Guests will receive movie tickets upon entrance to the museum

Animation Featuring Cartoon Network

Explore how art, math, science, and technology come together in the exciting world of Animation featuring Cartoon Network. Experiment with storyboarding, character design, movement, timing, filming, sound and more as you explore the process of animation and create your own animated sequences.

Advice for Visitors
- Quieter times to visit: weekdays after 1 p.m., and weekends before noon.
- The Health Museum attracts crowds during Thursday afternoons, 2-5 p.m., when admission is free.
- Live science shows at The Health Museum are included with the CityPASS ticket – check them out on weekends.
Upgrades for CityPASS Holders
- Some specially ticketed exhibitions and events require separate admission.
