George Ranch
The George Ranch Historical Park is a living history museum.
Visitors get to experience more than a century of Texas history by interacting with costumed re-enactors and enjoying hands-on exhibits and activities featured at each of the Park’s four historic home sites.
The sites follow one Texas family’s history line for four generations.
1890s Davis Victorian Mansion
Experience the splendor of the Victorian era at the original 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion.
Tour the grandiose home and grounds, walk through the family cemetery, visit the blacksmith shop and tour the “Sharecropper Farm” to learn how freed slaves lived after the Civil War.
1930s George Cattle Complex
The 1930s George Cattle Complex features the original George Ranch home, cattle pens and barns.
Watch the George Ranch cowboys give cattle roping demonstrations and tend to the cattle in the chute before sending them through one of the last remaining dipping vats in the United States.
1830s Jones Stock Farm
The 1830s Jones Stock Farm showcases life as an early Texas pioneer.
Tour the replica dog-trot log cabin, interact with members of the Jones family and help them tend to their gardens and livestock.
1860s Ryon Prairie Home
Picture life in post-Civil War Texas at the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home.
Tour the two-story antebellum home and grounds.

Advice for Visitors
- The least crowded time to visit is during the week after noon and Saturday mornings before 11 a.m.
- Contact George Ranch to ask about their Special Events and Group Services
- Allow a good 3 to 4 hours to adequately tour the Park.
