I just ran across the most wonderful article in The New York Times. Written by Sara Rimer, one of my favorite New York Times’ contributors, it beautifully describes the merits and pleasures of exploring Boston: In Boston, Where Change is in the Winter Air (published January 1, 2010).
Her mention of a water taxi is what caught my eye:
Here’s what you do: Fly into Logan International Airport here.
Hop on the free No. 66 shuttle bus. Get off at the water taxi stand
next to the Hyatt Harborside hotel more…
Rimer is an expert on Boston and regional stories. She goes on to share solid information about historic and emerging neighborhoods, the waterfront, restaurants, and free ways to experience the city, I particularly appreciated a traveler-friendly new tip: free binoculars available along Harbor Walk.
Never mind the weather. Wrap up and head out. Boston is a sizzling spot for a winter break.
